2026 Artist: Sue Carey

As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, 3-5 days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.

Sue‘s Arts Marathon Goal

For the marathon, I am creating pieces with step by step directions.

Sue‘s Background

I have been needle felting for over 30 years and derive great pleasure from creating realistic animals and birds. My greatest accomplishment was selling a piece for a castle in England. I used a wine crate as an owl box for a mother barn owl and two owlets. It was bought by a lady to decorate her castle. It gives me satisfaction to think of my barn owl box in an English castle.
