2026 Artist: Kathleen Speranza
As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, 3-5 days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.
Kathleen‘s Arts Marathon Goal
I will create a series of graphite and charcoal drawings. These drawing typically sell for $200-$300. I would love to find the best way to sell them and donate all of the proceeds to the program.Kathleen‘s Background
I participated in the program last year and am happy to do so again this year.
The situation for asylum seekers is even worse than last year and my goal will be to raise money for Bridge to Rutland. I have been making drawings for my entire life and it is a deeply meditative practice for me. I will be finding creative ways to sell these drawings both with the help of the Marathon organizers and from my own studio.
I’m excited to see how much I can contribute.
