2026 Artist: Carrie Moulton
As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, 3-5 days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.
Carrie‘s Arts Marathon Goal
This is my third year participating in the Arts Marathon. I'm calling it my church rummage sale, a jumble of different creative projects and mediums.Carrie‘s Background

I'm a completely amateur artist who loves to create for the pure joy of it. I like using my mind, eyes, hands, voice to connect to the world, to my friends, to show reverence for life and creation itself. My guiding principle is that it is ok to be mediocre. This frees me up to try things I would otherwise avoid for fear of not being good enough. As a working person who also works a serious 12-Step program, goes to church regularly and has to attend to all the other mundane activities of maintaining an ordinary life (grocery shopping, house cleaning, preparing tax returns, paying bills, exercising, etc.), I have limited time and energy. I'm also a generally undisciplined person. So I'm just not going to put the time in to get really good at anything. So I just do what I can when I can, and do it out of love. I've attached drawings and paintings below, but April will more likely be a mix of visual arts, sewing, poetry and who knows what!
