2024 Artist: Ann Buffum

As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, five days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.

Ann‘s Arts Marathon Goal

I will display watercolor paintings from my travels in the USA and in other parts of the world. I will write a few sentences about each painting and location.

Ann‘s Background

I have been painting since I retired from teaching about 20 years ago. My landscape paintings are cheerful and colorful and are memories of the places I have traveled around the USA, Europe and Tasmania and New Zealand. I use photos for reference, and sometimes am inspired by the work of other artists. It is a pleasure to share my paintings with family and friends, and the Arts Marathon looks like a good way to do that and to raise money for the important work for asylum seekers done by the volunteers of Bridge to Rutland.
