2025 Artist: Syd Veverka

As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, five days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.

Syd‘s Arts Marathon Goal

I will be working on various projects throughout the month for clients, my new apartment and for an upcoming exhibition.

Syd‘s Background

My name is Syd Veverka and I’m an artist currently living in Detroit. I am working on something creative every day for work and personally, and look forward to documenting a month of my various projects and processes. I’m planning a contemporary pop up show later in the year and expect to see some prep for that. The freelance work I do tends to be very interesting as well!

I love Rutland and have seen a lot of the good work done there through my aunts and uncles living there, and will always feel connected there through the mural I was able to do at Rutland Middle School!
