2025 Artist: Dee Bort

As Arts Marathon artists we will send a different example of our creative process and work to everyone who sponsors us, five days per week during April. We invite our friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who cares about art and wants to support Bridge to Rutland’s important work to sponsor us. Together we will help welcome new Americans who, in turn, will add immeasurably to our communities.

Dee‘s Arts Marathon Goal

I will create backgrounds and cards using a variety of inks, cutting dies, stamps and stencils.

Dee‘s Background

Several years ago a friend invited me to join a card making group of women she was a part of. I had been a scrapbooker for a long time and that was the reason she invited me. I certainly have never considered myself an artist, but these women are truly gifted and have taught me a lot about myself and about art. I have come a long way from the first card I ever made and I am constantly inspired to continue my journey as a card maker. I learn new things every single time I play with new supplies and materials.
