This painting is by Luis Sotero, one of our March Arts Marathon artists and a migrant who has been denied asylum in the USA, and is thus forced to remain in Mexico. The painting depicts a boy by the name of José Antonio Elena Rodríguez, who was shot through the border fence by a US border patrol agent ten years ago.
